“Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out.”
-Oliver Wendell Holmes

On a personal note...
At the age of 17, I sustained a serious knee injury during a volleyball game. My knee specialist informed me that he would fix my knee so that someday I could play with my kids, if I had them, but that my dreams of volleyball after high school were over. I would not accept that answer and overcame two major knee surgeries and one minor, to become a member of a nationally ranked volleyball team and continue to be active and physically fit today. I know thru my own experiences what discipline, determination, and a "never give up" attitude can do for the spirit. I have applied that same attitude to my professional life and continue to administer it daily by being committed to constant growth, change, and learning. I truly believe that all people can benefit, myself included, by a little accountability, a little reality, and maybe a little push by a coach.
